Happy New Year everyone, and now that the holiday's are over I thought I'd get everyone thinking more about what characters they want to play.

At this stage Colin is interested in Striker, David wants something different so maybe a Bard but who knows, Chris doesn't want to be squishy so maybe a Fighter, Warlord or Paladin, and I don't want to be a Striker and have 3 characters semi-planned out.

At this stage I'm tending towards my Dwarven Fighter - I know, I was tending towards the wizard before but eh things change .

How about everyone else? It would be good to get who's playing what class finalised soon so I can start working on the background for my character.

Whew!

I'm glad to see that this is apparently a normal topic of conversation. I thought that either Chris or myself had gone completely stark raving bonkers and I was afraid to post in case it turned out to be me!

They've already had some, but it was over a month ago. I think it was just too cold/windy for them when I first planted them. One of the survivors has started shooting up now, as have the Passionfruit.

But I'll bear that in mind, and give them a feed once the weather settles down a bit. Cheers.

Buy some liquid Blood and Bone and put it on your capsicums. I had scrawny capsicums last summer until I put a bucket of the magic goo on them.

*smiles* Mages are a tad bit more powerful in 4th Ed Chris however they're still rather squishy (Steve reflects on all the times he died as mage in Matt's campaign ). Having said that if you want to play a fighter by all means go ahead . I suggest you have a read through the PHB and pick a class you would enjoy playing.

Well now we have our group, currently we have 1 Striker, we still need 1 Defender, 1 Controller and 1 Leader. If you guys could have your characters ready by the end of January that would be great. Also if you could think about any goals your character may want to achieve and email them to me along with your character background that would be great also.

For example, a wizard may want to research new spells or uncover the past, a cleric may want to spread their religion, etc. I'll do my best to incorporate your characters goals into the campaign, after it's your world too .

Hey guys.

Sorry I've not been keeping up with this. I'd love to join and play with you guys, as long as you don't mind that perhaps one session in four I won't be able to make it. As 4th Ed is all new to me, I'm happy to try whatever class, though I prefer to be a magic user of some kind.

As Steve and I will be unavailable for the first 2 weeks of February, it probably makes sense to start Kelkareair mid-February rather than having 1 session in January and then having to take a break for a few weeks.

It would be good to have the characters all sorted in January though, rather than leaving it to the last minute

No problems Gary, fully understandable, hope Natalie settles down for you *smiles*.

Now Sarah has mentioned that Chris said he was interested in playing. If this is the case, then we'll have four players and everything can go ahead. If we can't get a fourth player then we'll have to do without a striker class, because out of the four class roles the striker role is the easiest to make up for. The defender and controller will have to up their damage output to make up for the absence of the striker which should be easy enough to achieve.

Another possibility mentioned by Sarah is to have a henchman who fills the missing class role join the party. If this is the case the party would control the henchman jointly. That way Colin can play his striker
