Over the last couple of weeks I've embarked upon another Gardening experiment.

The Great Garden Experiment '08

Hopefully this will result in a variety of tasty, edible fruit and vegetables. Making an appearance in the garden are Lemons, Mandarins, Passionfruit, Lettuce, Tomato, Capsicum and Spinach.

All I really want is for a bit more success than the last garden experiment in 2005. The pictures below show the result of the Lemon, Feijoa and Mandarin trees we planted. The last one is the mandarin.

Mandarin?

I guess the moment that really summed up the failure of the last effort was when I accidentally mowed over the remains of the Mandarin tree. Laughing

My hopes lie in the raised garden I made. I think the solid clay meant the last trees drowned when the holes I dug for them filled up with water. This lot should drain a lot better, and has a lot of good soil to grow in before reaching the clay under the grass.
