Thursday 9th April 2009Allergies and Awakeness
So we got the results of the allergy tests a couple of weeks ago, and it turns out Natalie is highly allergic to cats and eggs, and moderately allergic to cows milk.
This is obviously both good and bad news. Good because now we know, we can do something about it. Bad, because it means Andrea has had to cut eggs and milk out of her diet. So much for Easter.
We also went to the Ear, Nose and Throat specialist, as the allergy Doc told us it was more likely to be Adenoid problems than allergies. He was completely wrong of course, as there is nothing wrong with her adenoids. Thanks Doc.
But now, as we've had a couple of weeks to adjust, and flush the evil eggs out of her system, she's sleeping much better. Most nights we're only getting up once, if at all. It's a vast improvement, but slightly offset by the end of daylight savings. It's hard to teach time to an 8 month old, and convince her that actually, it's only 5:30am, and she really needs to sleep for another hour (or three!).
Finally, the awakeness bit refers to my participation in this years 48 Hour Film Festival again. If you're interested in helping, let me know. I'll be posting the results as and when I can.
